Odds are if you see this blog you probably already know. But I can't help but become a baby blogger. Yep, the baby blogger that does not hold back. This journey is going to be so exciting. I'm already finding excuses to buy things and I have no idea if this baby is going to have a hamburger or hot dog (if you have kids, you know what I'm talking about). With every baby blog, I'll have weekly bump posts when there is a bump. Since I already have some exterior belly goodness, it may take awhile.
The Story:
The week we found out I was convinced I was going to start. I was cramping, being a total bee-otch, and much more. I even bought tampons, I was that convinced. I was about 4 days late (which is usually the norm). While I was waiting on Chris' prescription (on a Wednesday) I thought "why not, I'll buy a test and just get it out of the way so I don't have to worry about it". I didn't even tell anyone I was taking the test. Not even Chris. So I snuck in the bathroom, took the test and it instantly came up with two pink lines. I ran in the living room to tell Chris and he was on the phone. I said "you need to get off the phone right now" he said "what" I replied with "just get off the phone". So he did what he was told (he would kill me if he saw I said that haha). I told him and he just smiled.
We agreed we would wait a little while before we told anyone. Friday I had a doctors appointment and I didn't want to go to the doctor by myself. Chris couldn't take off work so we decided we would start telling people Thursday night. So then my sister, Brandi, went with me and we laughed as always.
Thursday comes rolling around and I wanted to tell my sister. So we gave her a "gift". Little did she know, it was the tests. She opened it and instantly started crying. I wish I video taped it. We also told Heather (my sis in law) by handing her the test to figure out what it was. Heather, also pregnant, jumped up and gave me a big hug and was so excited. Chris' mom lives far away and he told her over the phone one night. That same night I told my mom. Mom came to take me, my sister and my niece to dinner and a movie. So I tide a ribbon around my belly and Britni wrote the tag "Please don't open until November 1st, 2012." She of course cried too. We also told Melania and she was so excited. She ran to her room and grabbed an old hospital blanket and said "here this is for the new baby". Then we slowly told everyone else and then of course it went on Facebook.
Monday will be our first ultrasound where we can see the baby and heartbeat and we are so excited!
They look kinda gross but its proof :)
I can't wait to share my journey with everyone! Stay tuned Friday for a Bumpdate, minus the bump picture. Did you tell your family, husband, and friends in a creative/fun way??
